All Welcome
He stood. A silent watcher at the door to the chamber in which his prince, @Harakhte rested. They had arrived only countless hours before after a journey.

The advisor returned, seeking the prince and worded his presence with sharp words. Akhendes ignored him—his stare giving way nothing as the chamber remained closed to outsiders for now.

And he remained. Upon the outside. A watchful guardian.

Priestess, now.

Makono was gone. Toula was Queen.

Medusa remained unaffected. There was a part of her that was proud of Toula, though she wondered if she would survive the reign. The Queen might have been the first of the rulers she felt any inclination to protect...

But she, herself, came first always. Medusa was the only one who fully looked out for Medusa... well, there was Gucci, too. And so she looked out for her father as well. It seemed advantageous to remain in Toula's favor now, but that was not so hard.

There were guests staying among them now. And she guessed that she should perhaps make herself more known, and be more helpful, to make Gods Wife look great. That was no problem... it was really that Senmut, who was now raised higher in the ranks as well, had demanded it that grated.

I would have done it myself, but now that you asked me to--I don't want to.

Yeah. Ugh.

But do it she would. Because this wasn't for him, who had scared the hell out of her in that hallway that day, but for Her. Toula.

And now she came across a gargoyle. He truly could have been made from the interior red stones of this place, so still was he. Medusa nearly jumped out of her skin this evening, seeing him; she wondered if this would be something they would all grow used to. Did he talk?

Medusa was slow to approach him. She waited to see if his eyes might move at all, or better yet, any part of his body. Was he actually a statue?
