All Welcome
As the last tendrils of daylight relinquished their grasp upon the evening, Liffey was found curled quietly at the mouth of her family's den, staring eagerly up towards the sky. Sorrow had enveloped her family recently and while the incident with Lucy had frightened and upset her, she was more affected in the way that she desparately missed her littermate and companion and less in the fact that she truly understood what was going on. Lagan was fun and all, but it was so cool how her darker sister just blended in with the night, and she enjoyed nothing quite like hunting for things in the dark be they crickets, fireflies or little black sisters.

The pup's ears swiveled upon her head as a faint chirp sounded somewhere in the hush. Her tail wriggled harder at the noise, but she did not move yet as she knew that it was still too far for her to reach. Liffey had inherited her father's patience with her mother's curiosity, and it seemed to be quite the perfect combination on nights such as these.

HAHA sorry sis <33

Lagan awoke from his afternoon nap, to find that it was now way past afternoon. But the sun wasn't down fully yet, which meant it was playtime. Like his twin, Lagan was a bit gloomy after the whole Lucy incident. He was still too scared to stray to far from the den, worried that the monster might come back. But he held a blind faith in his father. He knew Elwood would return with his little black friend, and so he tried not to worry about her. Instead he held his normal bouncy optimism and continued on. For now, he was wide awake, and Lucy was at the back of his mind.

Seeing the familiar shape and color of a wild Liffey looming about at the den entrance, Lagan dropped down to the ground, preparing to lunge. He scooted forwards, scrawny little legs moving ever so slightly until he was close enough to his sister. Then with a butt wriggle, the grey furred boy pounced forwards paws outstretched for Liffey's face. He had no idea that she had been stalking something in the bushes. Unlike her, he held little patience so hunting wasn't one of his strong suits quite yet. Whathre you do Iffy? He lisped, that 'just woke up' spit dripping from his mouth, which he quickly slurped back up into his mouth. He pounced in a quick circle around his twin, batting playfully at every limb, and surely scaring away whatever she'd been stalking.

Liffey wasn't bothered when her quiet was interrupted by her lisping brother. She kept her gaze trained upon the sky as he came close, and it wasn't until he made for her face that she even gave him a glance. He proceeded to running around her, poking and prodding as he often did. Luckily, the girl was already in an excited mood, and so she responded to his attacks with nips of her jaws as she tried to grab his paws as they darted towards her.

"I waitin' fo ni time," the pup replied as she rolled to her side away from him. She lifted a paw as she rolled and swatted at him like a cat. "I'm gonna catch kickits and fi-fies!" AKA crickets and fireflies, for those who don't speak two-month-old-wolf-puppy-version-of-english.

Liffey responded to his play with nips of her own, he giggled as she went for his paws, prancing about happily. Waiting for night time? He was gonna ask why when she rolled away from him, swatting at him as she went. He ducked under one of the swats, but the next hit him in the face, and the scrawny fluff ball tumbled over, flat on his tummy. I like uh way fi-fies gloo ! He exclaimed as if that was the coolest bit o information he'd ever shared. Tongue out as he grinned, the boy came up from lying down and crept towards Liffey, pretending she couldn't see him.

Once he was close enough, Lagan pounced forwards, halting about an inch from his twin's face. Still smiling, he nuzzled his face into Liffey's side affectionately, a small purr rumbling in his tummy. When he was really little, his sisters were just annoying, and always got in his way when he was trying to suckle. Now he loved them, Liffey and the momentarily absent Lucy.

Liffey giggled as her brother fell. She rolled to her belly and army-crawled closer to him, hoping to latch her jaws onto some part of him (she wasn't picky). His comment distracted her from her mission though, and she grinned broadly as he inspired her imagination.

"Ya is so coo'!" she chirrupped in agreement, "If you smashies dem, you get da glow on your paws!" As much as she loved the fireflies, she was quite the fan of smearing their dead bodies on her toes so that she could glow like they did.

The girl was about to look back up at the sky to see what progress they had made towards night time, but Lagan's movements stole her attention. She braced herself as he pounced, but relaxed when instead of attacking, he smushed himself into her. She giggled again and nipped at his side before lifting a paw to shove him playfully away. "'Aggy stop!" she giggled before freezing quite suddenly as a tiny light flashed in the trees.

"'Aggy dey here!" Liffey barked, leaping to her paws and staring, wide-eyed and open-mouthed into the darkness. Her tail flailed in a wild happy dance at her haunches as she prepared herself for the hunt, eyes peeled for another flash.

So cute <3

Lagan stood and watched as his sister crawled on her belly towards him. He bit his lips, trying not to giggle as he prepared to leap on her. But all of a sudden she was on him, latched her tiny mouth onto his leg. Oop! He exclaimed and she let go, talking again about the fireflies. She said if you smash them, you glow. As much as Lagan wanted to glow, he imagined that smashies probably hurts. No smashieths! Thomtime if uh you thit thtill them land on yo noth! He said, pushing his own nose in her direction as an example.

His pounce was cut short when Liffey pushed him away then froze like a statue. Aggy stop. He wondered why for a moment, but then he saw them too. His big apple green eyes turned towards the blink, and he waited for it to come back. I'ma gon get biggetht fi fie for you! He gave his twin a big slobbery lick on her cheek then bounded into the group of fire flies. He saw one blink and he snapped at his excitedly. Of course he missed, but he was having fun trying.

umg puppiesssss ;___;

Lagan's protest of her plan to smash the bugs was lost in the thrill of the impending hunt. Liffey's eyes were alight as she stared into the darkness. Her ears were perked, head and tail raised high as she waited for another flicker. She stood still as though her movement would send them all back up to the sky, which was from where she was convinced that they came.

It wasn't until Lagan planted a sloppy kiss on her cheek that she started. She shook her head and shot her gaze towards him just in time to see him sprinting away from the den into the night. Not wanting to be left behind, Liffey tore after him with a loud giggle. She hadn't gone more than ten paces when a blink to her right grabbed her attention and she twisted to leap off in that direction. The firefly had vanished again into the darkness by the time she had bounded into the space it had just occupied, and so she twirled in place with her head lifted towards the sky, searching again for the little beast.

She paused then, standing at attention as she glanced about for it until another blink sent her rearing back and vaulting forward yet again.
