Yeah! Speedy answered with a wide grin, happy to see he was so interested in the topic of medicinal plants. She waited for him to catch up to her before she started walking again, nose occasionally lowered to sniff something that might seem promising. For the most part, the forest was severely lacking in useful plant life, but she wasn't too surprised; it was winter and getting to be too far into it for anything to have really held out against the cold aside from the evergreen fir trees that added splashes of dark green to the brown and grey scale of the rest of the forest.

She stopped to inspect the grass Lucas had pointed out, taking in its scent and comparing it to her mental catalog of plant knowledge. Hmmm, she said first, lifting her head to smile at the other wolf. I don't think so, the empath answered gently. But good job being curious. That's most important when learning about new things. She always felt like you learned better when you asked questions as opposed to just taking in the information given to you and moving on.

The healer resumed her purposeful stroll once more, nose to the ground again as she searched. Looking for plants could be tedious work sometimes, but she never minded it, and it was even better that she had someone to talk to about what she was doing. She neared the edge of the forest where the ground vegetation thinned some, nose moving quickly to take in all the scents. A promising smell lead her to a small brown plant, clearly stripped of all its flowers by winter. Not quite what she had hoped for but at least she had found something to teach Lucas about. This plant will have flowers in the spring. It's called Marigold, she explained first, kind smile on her face again as she looked between the hibernating plant and the curious boy. The petals from the flowers are good for keeping infection from wounds, she elaborated. She would commit this place to memory so that she could hopefully return here in the spring and collect the flowers when they bloomed.
