All Welcome
He had somehow managed to successfully slip past his parents' watchful gazes and into the unknown world outside the den that had been his only world for however long he had been here. Once outside, there were so many smells and so many colors, and his shaky, but surprisingly strong legs carried him from each new discovery to the next, each time unknowingly wandering farther from the safety of the den. He had no reason to be concerned with such things; up until this point, his life had been safe and comfortable, and the pup had no idea that bad things could happen.

After an unknown amount of time, the child had stopped to sit in the sand, tired and completely infatuated with a large, moving mass. It seemed to spread farther than he could see, even if he squinted his tiny eyes. And the color was like nothing he had seen before; it was much lighter than the ground in the den, but it was so pretty. What drew his attention the most was the way the mass moved towards him and away from him over and over; he wanted to know why it did that. What was this thing, and how had he never seen it before? After a while of watching the mystery mass, Pheiros grew brave and trotted forward until the substance just barely touched his little golden paws. At first, he drew back in surprise, the feeling completely new. It was cold, and the fur that had been touched now felt like it did after mom or dad cleaned him. Interesting. He moved forward once more, this time staying still and letting the strange stuff touch his paws over and over as he watched it, completely entranced.
