Perhaps had Leaa known the unspoken fears that had curled around his heart like choking vines she might have divulged her own concerns, those which had been borne of the uncertainty Kavik had placed within her heart. She might have confessed a past of forced claims, rape and assaults, of a marriage ruined by her husband's lust. But now was not the time for such sad tales.

"I would not have it any other way," the fae murmured honestly, with a touch of relief coloring the reassuring smile that graced her pale features. It seemed that perhaps this period of familiarization was a disguised attempt at courtship, whether the pagan meant it to or not, and this custom of normality grounded her nerves.

"I would like to know you," Liri admitted honestly, ears flattening against her skull as the words spilled free. "But only time fosters a bond."
"i'll keep you here when I lose my mind."
