Stone Circle lightning strike

The sky was darkening at a quick pace, and the air smelled different. It caused her nerves to dance within her though she could not be certain as to why. Leta had not been too far from the rendezvous but ran closer to where she knew her family might be. She scampered closer to home though was stopped in her tracks when the sky flashed. There was no lightning to be seen, yet, but it caused her to run all the faster. A faint rumble echoed the flash, and Leta let out a little eep! Upon hearing it. This was not her first storm, but it was close... far closer than any other storm had been. In time, the boom of thunder would be frighteningly loud.

the boy had ventured away from his family – further from the den than he ever had before – until he was roaming their claimed land with no real destination. he had grown tired and bored with watching his brothers bicker and play fight with each other. the child had even grown bored of his own mother. the sad expression on her face did not seem to leave, and the budding seeds of resentment had started to form in the back of his head.
 
moving slowly, like a predatory cat on the prowl, the spotted pup roamed until he was met with a scent that was all too unfamiliar. glancing up, louie caught sight of a figure he had not met before, though her scent carried remnants of the large stranger who had come to watch charles and riley spar. young louie watched her with a cold stare, waiting to see how long it might take for her to notice him.
