All Welcome
the lair was still and quiet. bhediya, having finished her evening ruminations, decided to seek out one of her packmates for conversation. it had been some time since her last conversation with @Kaori; the blackbird was elusive, rarely allowing herself to be found.

she pondered the dragon's recluse as short legs carried her through each corridor, sniffing for her trail.

Keeping to herself was a habit recently developed, the realisation that she was home once again still settling. She spent much of her time drifting throughout the lair, stealing away into the shadows as she worked feverishly to remember every little nook and cranny; the lair was vast, truly, hiding more secrets than it did truths. But it was for that reason that she treasured it so, and paid careful attention to particular components of the territory—as of late, her primary place of solitude was none other than the very same chasm her mother once claimed as her own, where she stored her herbs and mended the broken. She intended on making it her own, knowing that her mother would never return, and wished to fill it with life and herbs again, come spring.

For now, however, Kaori slipped from the sanctum with the intention of stretching her legs. Yet her walk was short-lived, another woman as dark as herself coming into view. The dragoness slowed and redirected herself, body language open and inviting, should the other seek to converse.

the scent trail continued to grow stronger until — ah! there she was. bhediya trotted up to kaori, apprehensively moving to brush shoulders. she wasn't sure how she'd been settling, if she'd settled at all; their first (and last) conversation had been somewhat tense.

after a moment's thought, she asked, have you met anyone else? thinking about it afterward, bhe did realize that this wasn't the best way to start a conversation. she quickly added, just want to make sure you're doing okay. the seraph bit at the inside of her cheek while she waited for kaori to respond.

there was nothing wrong worth noting, it seemed. the pair had a short conversation as they walked through the lair, eventually breaking off to go their seperate ways.
