She had been trying to pick up the trail she had recently lost of the local herd of deer. The newly fallen snow was a nuisance, blending their scent in amongst many others. She was concerned they may move on soon, to a more sheltered habitat so the does could give birth to their fawns safely. It was something she'd have to keep on top of, or else search for other options. By chance, she had been tracking near the border, close to the edge where someone was right at their doorstep. Ears pricking, she paused mid stride, squinting softly towards the agouti figure. Hm, she didn't recognize him as anyone in their ranks. Turning, she approached swiftly but cautiously, unsure of his exact intentions. Chai carried herself like an unmistakable pack wolf, but certainly not one who was high ranking.
