His nerves are soothed slightly by Evergreen's response to his touch, but the next words are still hard to get out. Have you ever um, thought about children? Embarrassment immediately warms his face at how odd it sounds to him, but it's out now, so he continues. It's a lot more talking than he's used to; by the time he finishes, his voice is already starting to fade a little. It's been on my mind for a couple days — I um... there was someone in heat nearby when I went out hunting, and by the time I got back home, I started thinking about... raising a family. But I realized I don't know if that's what you want, or if we're ready.
Winterbourne's voice is low and raspy due to a throat injury during his childhood, and it can sometimes be difficult to understand him.
