The kiss makes him more emotional, but he manages to keep it together, at least enough to pay attention to Evergreen's suggestion. Ira? He questions, thinking back to his sole individual interaction with the current Count. She'd seemed nice enough, knowledgeable and straight to the point. He doesn't know her well, but that first impression had been a good one, and he knows Evergreen trusts her. I don't really know her, but I spoke to her about the bison and I think it went well. You're close to her, right? What's she like?
Winterbourne's voice is low and raspy due to a throat injury during his childhood, and it can sometimes be difficult to understand him.
