Fox's Glade put yourself up

their trip to the glade must have sparked something in the boy, as he hadn’t been able to stop visiting since then. his walks were normally made in the morning, so that he could make it by noon, and return during the evening with new plants for the herb cache.

on this particular stormy day, rose could be seen walking with a slight skip in his step, indicative of his good mood. he had big plans for today — if only he could make it past the foxes.

It had been raining for days and Rona was fucking sick of it. Despite it being summer, her unusually thick fur was great at retaining water, and shaking it all off did no good if there was no real shelter for her hide under. She needed to find a cave or some animal’s den to take over. The rain blocked the scent of the young wolf coming toward her, but she saw the shape through the storm. Was… was he skipping?

“Oi!” she called, partly out of annoyance and partly to be heard over the sound of the pouring rain. “What are you so happy about?”

the unfamiliar voice immediately caught his attention. rose snapped his head upward, searching the horizon until finally, he spotted a brown-coated stranger. that was good, right?

she asked a question, its rude undertone going unnoticed against the rain. flowers! rose excitedly called back. he paced forward a few steps, now walking normally, and continued at a slightly less offensive volume, this rain is going to make the flowers grow.
