Hideaway Strath Third child, restless child

His brother's absence was felt immediately, pulling the quiet boy from his slumber. He liked routine and for things to be the same; they were napping now, and he thought Atka should respect that and stay tucked against their mother like he and Adluin were currently. Not only was their nap time now interrupted, but as Atka made his way to the outside, it made mom get up and go after him, leaving more cold absence in her wake. He yawned and sighed, watching as Simmik carried their inconsiderate brother back to the group. Alduin was riled up then and up their mother's ass as usual. Tulok loved her too—she was beautiful and loving and never failed to give them what they needed. But he thought Alduin's behavior was a little over the top. 

Their father entered the den then, and Tulok's annoyed look morphed into one of interest. Dad was big and strong, and he wanted to be just like him. He got up from his mother's side and plopped down against dad's chest. From there, he watched his brothers inspect a hard object on the ground that mom described as a rock. He was curious about it, but not enough to leave his place against dad. 

The familiar feeling of hunger soon pulled his focus from his siblings, and he reached up to lick at Kynareth's mouth like he did with mom sometimes. Some meals came this way, and he had decided they were just as good as the milk that had sustained him these first weeks of life.
