Saleem wanted to chase the freak away. Sylianos wanted this as well, but he was more hesitant and unsure than his twin. He bared his teeth in unison with his sibling, but while Saleem took a step forward, Sylianos craned his head back to check Arsenio.
The man's attention seemed like it was pulled another way for the moment. Deciding that they would not get in trouble for what Arsenio could not see (and unaware of how attentive adults were), Sylianos joined his twin in advancing on the broken girl with a clap of his little jaws in an effort to appear menacing.
Towhee Jr looked a lot more menacing than Sylianos felt, but he had Saleem, and she was alone.
