All Welcome
@Ameline and/or @Ancelin <3
Amneris strengthened under the care of the two who had come to the valley. Ancelin. Ameline. Their names bore an unmistakable resemblance to Amneris's own, and those of her siblings. She took this to mean that they were family; they were the same.

She sought them now, carrying two more bones from the skeleton Athalia had found. Rib bones, both; gifts. A sort of wordless thank you, for they would never hear it voiced aloud. Amneris remained a silent and immovable child. The bones clicked together as she searched, and she found comfort in the rhythm of it.

the clack of the bones sickened ancelin. not for the fact they appeared to be — kin — but for the fact that the valley had begun to prevail upon him a sense that he had once been here.
these days, ancelin kept his belly filled, taking his cues from ameline. it appeared to be the best way to feed the pups, and slowly he added these new skills to a mental talent tree that he hoped would help in the spring.
"whatcha got there, sport?" the bearclaw murmured, plucking the last bit of gristle from a rabbit femur. his tail thumped on the ground behind him, almost unbidden.

I am soooo sorry, do you wanna bump the date up on this?
The bones had required some cleaning, but a few passes through a bit of half-frozen water had done the trick. Amneris thought so, at least. She shot a glance around for Ameline but did not see her.

She supposed Ancelin would receive two gifts, then. She dropped the bones before him, pushing them toward him with a paw. Her eyes searched his expression intently.

can continue this at any pace! <3

rib-bones. ancelin had begun to lose some of his earlier trepidation about the bits of skeleton. he made a show of looking both over, inspecting from end to end, and nudged his own rabbit femur in her direction.
"you know. what if we put these on the borders? you know, like a warning," he said, warming to the idea with a dark thump of his tail.
