the morning is clear, the sun shining but ezra is groggy as he stirs awake and cranky without any discernible reason: snapping his teeth at his denmates if they tried to approach to play. he steals his breakfast away to a quiet corner, facing the wall with his back to everyone, growling as he scarfs it down.

and when he is finished with breakfast, messily devoured and thus messily left bits of carrion on his lips and chin he slinks out of the den; squinting at the sunlight.

he pauses when he believes he's far enough away to attempt to clean himself up a bit before with a loud huff flops onto his belly and scowls at the foliage; a temper tantrum given flesh.
