The days never change. The snow, endlessly falling, and her paws endlessly moving. A routine of every morning, every night, mark and track, keep alert, and overall, protect the lost. A forest once home of many, packs before Morningside, but none after has come for it. Even if they did, she was here, determined to not let it happened, determined to let it remain as it is, for the return of all. A constant protection, of her home. A sanctuary, from a bastard family of pain that brought nightmares for nights, and nights, until she found comfort at this very own forest.
Desdemona sometimes saw his figure, the 'father' of her so called life, a bastard from a desperate mother. Though a mother, she would never meet, and would leave along four little babies, left to a father who cared little to the newly omegas of their pack. Though they all tried, she remembered, her brothers and sister, at first trying so hard to get his attention. Even she did, the slender wolf remembered in regret. Though while they gave up, she did not. She chased his shadow, in an attempt to be recognized. Sometimes, she could see his shadow in these forests... Or the other shadow, she tried to chase moons ago. So many shadows, that haunt her back.
The only peace she could find was the late night moon, that shined through the maplewood trees in the dark. Some said she looked lonely, and trapped by these woods, but they gave Desdemona a peace, that she never had back at her 'home.' Though this place, was the home she always desired. Leaning against a tree, jaded eyes watched the moon in peace, as a moment of relaxation was too tempting to pass.
