The return of Rosalyn was still fresh in his mind and it filled the yearling with hope—hope for the future of the pack, and for the well-being of those that had gone missing from it. Those thought to have been claimed by the sea itself could still be out there, lost and searching for them, the location once known to them now too dangerous to inhabit. But surely, just as the elder woman had, they would find their way to the plateau? Aningan was hopeful, wishing each and every day that their ancestors may guide those lost, back home.

Positive thoughts inspired a positive reality, right?

Driven by this newly discovered sensation, Aningan patrolled the outermost reaches of the territory. He scanned the land around him for any signs of life, both wolf and prey, eager to spy movement. Who would be the next to return home? Anticipation, built upon a sturdy foundation, filled his being; he knew now that Caiaphas would return, he could feel it in his bones. So, dutifully, the bear jogged across the flatland, senses alive and mind alert, unconsciously searching for the sea wraith.
Characters are more than welcome to mistake Aningan for a polar bear.
A snowy owl can also be noted hanging around with Aningan, usually in the trees or sky, unless stated otherwise in my posts.

Her return to Rusalka is slower than she would have liked, burdened by her wound and by Stanley. She does not stop for rest, nor to clean the blood from her fur or around the source. By the time she reaches the plateau, the rough treatment of her body has taken a toll.
She realizes as she crosses the border that she'd dropped Stanley somewhere, perhaps a few yards back, but she finds herself too feverish and exhausted and overwhelmed by pain to care. She knows he'll be in the same place later; he always is. Her first thought, as she catches the scents of her packmates, is of Derg. She almost hopes to find him, or for him to find her — but it isn't Derg she sees first. It's the leader, the pale boy who'd seemed so wary of her, jogging in her direction. She freezes, immediately forgetting the throbbing in her leg as she realizes she has no clue how to explain her current condition. All she can do is watch him approach.

kept missin’ this in my threadlog frick

Ever lost be the wraith, gone to lands unknown. Another day unmet by the appearance of her being, he instead finds himself with another in his sights: the girl known by Raleska, a former member of the coastal pack. Although discovering her was not in his plan for the day, Aningan neither ceased nor redirected himself once they spied one another; he continued towards her, slowing as the space between them was eliminated, and then stopped entirely once the more defined components of her body were visible.

Blood.

Aningan stiffened and concerned laced his voice as he asked, “What happened?” Although there was a distinct lack of information on the woman and hardly a single memory of her in his possession, that did not diminish his worry for her.

Aningan was quiet at she explained herself, listening intently the entire time. By the end of it, he was quick to decide that any further talking was unnecessary and instead insisted that she get some rest. Only after she settled did the male take his leave, off to find something that may help her (even though he knew fuck all about plants, yikes).
