All Welcome
On the borders. All welcome but hoping for a lovely @Nephele

Once the mountains had given way to the open plains of the ground below, Antigone had felt a breath of relief fall from his lips. The familiarity of the terrain so close to the vale had left him with a sour feeling in his stomach. All of the memories of his childhood had flooded his mind. He battled with the anxiety of meeting one of his parents there, but the scents of the vale had changed drastically and Antigone had climbed down the mountainside wondering where Tamar and Arsenio had vanished to.

At the edge of the plains, the red-hood noted the sharp fragrance of a border marking. He lowered his snout and sniffed. It hadn’t been too long since a patroller had been there. The young wolf lingered, debating whether or not he might call out. Antigone supposed that he could get answers from the dwellers. At least enough that he could find some peace of mind.

there was a cloud of uncertainty brewing in the pit of her where she hoped children would grow. there were no telltale signs of life, no nausea, no cravings, no hormonal imbalances besides the ever growing sense of distress that reared it's ugly head to the forefront of her mind.

she'd kept busy with patrols, mudding her mind with responsibilities she would have otherwise wished to ignore. but in the midst of her chore a calf, no older than a month, crossed before her with it's mother to rejoin the main herd. a sudden wave of heartache struck her where she'd not expected, grief for children she might never carry.

she plucked her attention away from the traveling pair of bison, sight flung to the far stretches of land past their claim. a silhouette off in the distance churned a sudden protectiveness from within, and it was not a moment later that she swept towards the stranger with the intent to intercept them.

When he caught sight of the woman, Antigone froze in his steps. He must have ventured too close to their territory, must have spurred the response from a border patrol. It wasn’t his intention to cause trouble for them. He only wanted to inspect near their claim to see if the plains had any promise. The bison were captivating enough. He had never seen such things in the closure of the vale.

I’m not here to cause trouble.

But the tone of his voice suggested he was nothing but. The red-hooded wolf lowered his snout the proper way, making sure that he didn’t appear a threat. The deep blue of his eyes shifted beyond the approaching patroller and toward the heart of their claim.

she slowed as she rounded upon the man no older than herself, a chilled whistle sent from her lips to catch his attention on a barbed hook. "i did not accuse you of such," she voiced as her paws came to a planted stop a few paces off from where the stranger stood.

he was a wiry thing, muscles strewn through a slender figure that suggested the lankiness of him was simply inherited rather than a lack of capability. no scent that marked a claim to him, no stories she could pick from the fibers of his coat.

she followed the stormy sea of his gaze to as far as her neck would crane without turning away completely. "something of interest to you in there?" she questioned with a puff of air.

The woman stated she had made no such accusations. Antigone regarded her with his sour features. Not verbally, but the way that she had moved swiftly to intercept his path had suggested that she did not trust the stray at her borders. It was the way of most wolves. His words had been meant to dissuade any ideas of foul play.

When she inquired what had captured his attention, the red hood fixed his sights to her face. Antigone recognized that he should be careful with his words. The young wolf was only a man in search of herbs and plants. He had never visited the plains that housed this pack.

I’m a medic. Curt, but he lowered his snout and his tail shifted downward. Just wondering what kind of herbs might grow on your land.

i am SO SORRY for the wait on this

herbs. she'd never considered the land for it's plant life, their way was that of the herd and little more. she turned to offer him a thoughtful eye, while words sat like thorns upon her tongue. "i could not tell you, i do not have an eye for herbology."

"you may be welcomed to look for and collect them with an escort, if you have means of trade." he desired to know of the plants, and she desired to know of what he could give in return.
