Emberwood to what end

Oh god, I'm so slow, sorry!

 Lunae continued towards the unknown. The autumn didn't allow her to forget about itself. It kept blowing for a few minutes, slowed down, then went back. 'It just can't make up its mind, can it?'Lunae thought, while shivering from the breeze.  
 A sudden branch that had cracked under her feet made her wince, the sound also going up to the birds, causing them to fly away. 'Great, now everything heard me', she thought, angrily. 
 As she went deeper, she felt more exposed. 'Anything can find me now, I have to focus', she ordered herself.  She stood, waiting for a scent to come to her, and so it did.
  The scent of earlier had come back. Eyes closed and trying to follow the scent again, she didn't notice that she slowly began turning around. The scent was lost as soon as it came. Ears going up, she tried to hear it instead. 'Nothing', she thought, relieved, and a little disappointed. As she kept going in the general direction of the scent, she wondered what creature may be laying ahead.
