It was nice that his children had such great relatives around when growing up. He and Flóki both hadn't had the luxury to grow up with two functioning parents and it'd been difficult. Charon's girls would get everything they needed and more, and so far things were going really well.

Asking Flóki about the ladies seemed to have the wrong effect though, since he had apparently met up with Dhole and it hadn't gone over well. "Did she say anything?" Charon couldn't help but ask. He had never quite gotten over Dhole's betrayal himself, seemingly unable to forget the day she'd run out on them all without second thoughts. When difficult things happened you just had to deal with shit best you could, not run away from it — that was something he'd learned through life, but had been imprinted even more with Dhole's actions. "The little bitch," he added, though he looked a little startled that he'd spoken those words out loud instead of keeping them inside of his mind.

Anyway; "Don't you think it's time to move on?" he suggested light-heartedly, shifting the subject around. "How about Pyx? She seems like a nice girl." He watched Flóki's face closely so that he could see whether his brother was interested in the least. Charon liked Pyx, and so he thought her a perfect fit for his brother. Besides, she was clumsy and silly like Dhole, so it fit in the expected pattern.
