Still adjusting to living within the ranks of a pack that he hadn’t been born into, Yildun hadn’t done a whole lot of mingling with others within the pack. He stuck fairly close to those he had come here with, but at the same time, had been keeping to himself. His depression wasn’t getting any better, though it wasn’t really getting too much worse either. Part of him wished that he could just turn off his feelings entirely, but on the other hand, what would that achieve? He wasn’t living, that much was certain, but merely existing.
He wasn’t all that far from where he was staying with his sister and the others, sprawled out on a rock and feeling the sun’s rays on his face. Blind eyes were closed and young face was turned toward the sky, soaking in the warmth that was shining down. Soft sigh escaped from him and he found himself, once more, thinking about his parents. He missed them so much, especially his father. There had been a bond between the two of them that was hard for him to even remotely accept that it was gone.
Sound reached his overly sensitive ears but he did not turn his head in the direction it was coming from. “Hello, ma’am,” he called out to her, knowing it was the recently promoted Alpha Female without her having to say a word. Because of his blindness, he had readily learned her scent on that first day they had come to this pack. “Is there something I can do for you?” Because he really did want to prove that he wasn’t entirely useless. There were things that he could do, and do them well if given a chance.
