Why alientate wolves that might have helped should they have asked, with eight adults they could have shared portions of their hunting with the pack wolves as payment for their stay. Now these wolves had put themselves on the hostile side of a soon to be neighbour. "Go get the pups. Take whoever you trust, the rest of us will make sure they do not follow."
