Kintla Flatlands Cold bones

Rue continued to watch and wait, somewhere in between relaxed and on-edge. She couldn't have specificed what she was waiting for, only that she was watching for the moment opportunity struck. 

As time dragged on, the breezes shifted, bringing Rue the scent of another hunter. She was hardly surprised; likely this herd was supplying many of the predators in the area. If the stranger was a loner, perhaps a partnership was on the table here. Approaching an unknown wolf was risky; but so was attempting to hunt a herd beast alone. It seemed the life of a lone wolf was a constant choice between bad and worse options. 

After the winds had shifted a few times, Rue was able to more or less pinpoint the direction of her company. She began slinking toward the unknown wolf, half an eye on the herd so that she could halt should her movements be detected.
