The rich milk provided by Parvati would transmit more than just calories to her newborns - the first meal of any mammal was full of antibodies that would, eventually, kick-start the newborn's immune system. He had eaten hastily and often, like his siblings, and would continue to feast on the warm milk offered up — unaware of the lackluster involvement of the woman or even his biological connection to her. The tongue that lashed at his face or cleansed his coat after every meal sent a note of discomfort through him at first; being warm and wet wasn't the nicest feeling, although by contrast, it was better than the chill of the cavern floor. There was little the child could do to protest against it; he had no mental faculties and certainly no physical capabilities yet. Whatever happened, Sobek was a small lump orbiting the much larger mass of Parvati, squirming between his twin and the ghost.
