<3 thank you for starting!

indra had spent too much time at the stones as of late. she was troubled, moreso than usual -- for dark tidings had come to easthollow.

first in the form of that monster, which she would not give life to by naming. he was dead, now -- and that's all that mattered.

but even still, his children were here.. and indra hated them, loved them, was disgusted by them. setting herself against the broken stone that demarked where she often visited and thought of @Merrick, indra sighed forlornly and wondered what good had come out of their lives recently.

and then that good came trotting towards her -- in the form of her unfailing, remaining son. indra spared a fond smile marten's way, looking up from the broken boulder with her expression cleared of its previous melancholy. marten was a rare light for her -- in that his optimism often chased her demons away: once before, she had compared the soft-furred boy to a little flame, darting here and there and banishing the darker thoughts that lingered in her mind.

"hello, marten." indra replied, standing upright and tilting her head. he had come to talk to her -- but what about?
now the wren has gone to roost and the sky is turning gold,
and like the sky, my soul is also turning.
