His lip twitched slightly. He never chose to be worthless. That's just how he was born. During the time he wandered on his own, some small part of him wanted to believe his life was valuable. Maybe there was someone out there he helped, however small it may have been. Cupid doubted it. He just ended up screwing with lives. He now knew his life had no value.
What else am I supposed to do?
