Stone Circle are we awake, or are we asleep?

Leta, truth be told, did not like what she heard from her mother. 

It made her want to run fast and run far. That what happened to her aunt might, and inevitably would, happen to her mother...? Leta did not want to see it. Not to her, not to her father—she sucked in a breath and felt monumentally weaker for the epiphany. I'm not, came her watery words, I'm not strong enough for that, she breathed, moving then to push her head against her mother to breathe all of her in and nuzzling deep. She was not a child anymore, that much she knew... but daughters needed their mothers, she felt. Leta would always need Valette. 

She blinked away tears as she listened to her mothers advice. We... we can try to be happy, she agreed, but is it... it's okay to be sad for a little while, isn't it? She asked, ears flattening atop her crown as she looked to her mother. She just could not imagine feeling happy now... not so soon. Not after all they had seen.
