Two Eyes Cenote lazybones

Didn't look like anyone was around, she thought with a quick look one way then another, and with some careful footwork she advanced towards the door.
Movement drew her eye. Could have been a kid, given the size; but no, too small even for that. A short face and pointed ears; but Redbird didn't know what the hell a cat was.
Besides, this one looked cared for.
She scoffs and stoops to look the thing eye-to-eye, and narrows her gaze.

What're yew? Maybe a snack. They smelled like food, but also like many wolves, and an earthiness from the decorations that adorned them.
Redbird huffs as if to blow them aside.
Outta the way, pipsqueak. She was intent to cross in to the palace to suss out where her bone was.
