Sobo's imposing stature belied his gentle nature, which was helped none by his direct and often grumpy manner of speaking. He was tall and very fit with broad shoulders and paws. From appearances alone, one would think Sobo an experienced seafarer and marauder. His fur was primarily a warm, sandy silver broken only by his Sveijarn red tail and chocolate brown mask. He often wore a brooding expression but had kind eyes, verdigris with gold around the pupil, and a winsome smile.

Sobo could come across as downright standoffish in unfamiliar company. Most of the time, this was the result of his lifelong battle with his nerves. Sobo could be shy and this caused him to speak quickly and with little forethought. With friends and family, he was subservient, caring, and patient, but outrageously stubborn. He cultivated an air of exclusivity and superiority, looking down on those who had proven themselves selfish or arrogant. This was especially true of men outside his immediate family. He turned quickly on those who hurt him and was reluctant to forgive them for it. He died with several regrets.
