The Sentinels Boarfish

The two stood, regarding each other with gemstone eyes that peered through the darkness - garnet and sapphire.

Swordfish eased himself up from his crouched position. The faint moonlight brushed across his face, peering down through leaves and branches to illuminate the young bear-hunter. The hairs along his back rose with suspicion. Though he could scarcely make out her shape, there were portions of her coat that caught his gaze.

Familiarity soured in his belly. He knew her… but he did not know her.

Hey, the yearling wuffed out in a lame, monotonous voice. Have ya seen a girl called Blossom?

If he ignored the sensation of knowing her, perhaps it would pass.
