open! hoping for siblings, though.

By the day, Kotake witnessed her mothers visits growing less and less. She was sure that in time they might cease altogether. Such a rearing was not how Kotake remembered being raised. Her mother had taught her brothers and sisters, as had Damien—impaired by his insanity now—and even Cicero. They had stoked her ambition to someday become Priestess, but it was something she had not actively pursued.

The birth of her siblings found her inspired once again, disappointed though she was by her mother. Not for the children, but for her betrayal of Vaati. Though likely she would still accept her mothers teachings, there was no doubting her feelings had changed. Not only this, there was more! Her father was a man not among them, something Kotake had not ever found need to think of until he had come himself from Moonspear. Oh, it revolted her. She had more family in the Wilds—but she acknowledged none but the Melonii.

Kotake had long since decided that if she were to ever see one, she would kill them. Nevermind her pacifist ways in that circumstance. Kotake would make that man pay for coming here at all, to disappear again. Moonspear...

She would need to make a trip, soon.

But not now. Not while her young siblings needed her aid in growing. One brother had left them, but three remained. Herself, Koume, and Vaati. They would see to their siblings survival. Unsure of where they were in their development—far from motherhood herself, she felt—a fat hare dangled from her jowls. She came to the circle that her siblings lurked. Perhaps they would not know her at all; in truth, she had not been too active at all in their rearing, giving the food she did fell to Vaati or Koume to deliver. It was for no other reason than her commitment to her own practice and determining what to make of her mother—what she had witnessed dug deep.
