when his own mind became too much, terance always fled. he never left without intentions of returning, nothing within sunspire's beta wanted to leave, his home was with rannoch, with wraen, with seabreeze and ibis and okeanos. but the mountains held their claim on his mental health, and so sometimes he needed to get away. even if he was gone for just a moment, the dark redleaf-disarrino man always returned. 

it was early morning when he arrived in the meadow. he was too restless to sleep, and so he'd walked all through the night. he slowed when he approached a small pond in the river, a little creek flowing through. it likely carried all the way from the lake by sunspire-- at least, that was terance's assessment. he dipped his dark head and drank from the pond. the water was not as cold as he preferred, but refreshing all the same. in this moment, even though his mind felt truly blank, his expression and posture looked defeated-- despite even his full frame and broad build.
