again he finds himself briefly slipping from the boundaries of bracken (who's avoiding who now, delight, ha) -- not far at all, no desire to wander too far, maybe a little desire. with the arrival of seabreeze and olive and their brood he is not needed to watch his children so hawkishly, and that's fine. all the better for him to think to himself. there is still some strange boundary between him and alarian, a borderland where their seperate histories seem to clash -- or at least where alarian does not yield in the way, maybe, delight wants him to, and delight is still afraid to push too hard lest he send the golden boy running off (again). 

he's overthinking but at least he knows he's overthinking.

sighing the chancellor pauses in his steps, turning back toward the sanctuary. no -- wandering is a bad idea today, he thinks. like someone who has stepped outside their apartment and made it down the block only to realise they don't actually want to go outside today, delight turns towards his home.
