Speedy was surprised to hear that the alphas weren't in love; she just assumed that's why anyone became mates, which, she supposed, was probably a pretty naive way to look at it. She could see the benefit in coming together to lead a pack and create a strong legacy. But after all that time together, had they not formed a deep bond anyway?
