All Welcome

I'M BACK BITCHES!

There was something to be said for the passing of time healing old wounds. The stretch of time warping the exact aching details and fusing the frayed edges. Sealing the hurt closed, encasing the anger and pain like an infection just waiting to fester.

With the last few months spent separated from his deeply loved family, and instead opening his head to the family of his mate, Siarut was aching for the affection of his sisters. Well at least one sister.

Until this moment he had been cowardly. Avoiding the pain of seeking her out. He knew that a proper explanation would be required, and yet he had little desire to relive his darkest days. The northern prince wasn’t sure his soul could take the retelling, nor the heat of his sister’s shame and disgust once she heard his story.

He wasn’t sure if he could survive without her. Even the odd limbo that their relationship had devolved into was better than her outright hatred. She had been angry at their last encounter, as he abandoned her once again. At the time, there was nothing she could have done to help him and his tormented psyche. Leaving her was the only form of protection he could give her. At the time he had gladly taken her cold tone, and would gladly do so again if it meant protecting her.

Not that she would need protecting. With a bitter laugh Siarut acknowledged the continuing strength of the women in his family, and lack of its men. With one more deep breath Siarut rose his head to the air, a neutral song rising from his lips. The scent of his sister was still strong along the border where he had first bade her goodbye.

He whispered to the wind.

@Takiyok Yakone Ateneq, your brother calls for you.”
