No, rest, he had been about to insist, when she had changed her mind with a heavy yawn. It was almost relieving; rest would work in his favor in more than one way. It would give her time to gather her thoughts, to let the ire of all simmer to perhaps naught more than a sizzling hiss in the static din of the world.

She rarely needed to ask twice of him for anything.

He joined her, offering himself as a bastion post fit for rest, it would give him the time he needed to organize his own thoughts. To supplicate and guide such a dialogue, to dissuade the tempers no doubt set to flare. She settled in against him as he gave a contented sigh, but his eyes did not close. What didn't make sense now he hoped to make sense of soon, or at the very least begin to gather answers to the things he wondered.

But for now, it would simply have to be one step at a time.
