The bone was placed before her and she snatched it up eagerly. Jaws wrapped themselves around something that felt natural there- and she lowered her head beneath her shoulders, gnawing more viciously than her siblings might. She paused, tongue trailing itself across the indentations in exploration, feeling each groove, each almost-splinter. Mira dropped it for a moment- looking up to Desdemona. But she did not know what words were expected. And so in a moment's time, she had returned her fangs to the bone, and continued to chew like a rapid beast.
