It was a rare day indeed that the prince managed to oust himself from slumber before noon. It was the gulls that had woken him. The little vultures were blaring their successes and failures at the never-ending search for food. Taikon was not overly fond of the coastline that day; there was a foulness about the air that gave rise to slight nausea. He had come to put some distance between himself and @Macaria, though a large part of him wanted to visit the bluff again where he had once met @Lunaria.
The trip, he realized quickly, hadn't really been worth the effort. The view from the bluff was misty and dim. It held none of the magic present on the night that Lunaria and he had shared stories and pleasant banter. A sandy gust from the shore cut him through his coat, and he shivered.
Turning away, he caught the scent of another and promptly followed. His legs grew wet from the rain-soaked trail, but it didn't deter him. It didn't take long before he caught sight of a male wolf.
Taikon chuffed a basic greeting, stopping quite a distance away, unsure. It was hard to make out the other in full through the thick air, but he looked... odd.
