illidan didn’t know why. he frowned a bit, mulling over the apology and whether or not it was even actually intended for him. before he could think to question the young man, he had already found himself behind in their conversation. ashlar was his name, and illidan did what he could to store the moniker away in case he ran into this figure again.
 
“name’s illidan.”
 
the ghost offered in his haggard voice. he did not know how to answer the question about whether he was alright or not. he didn’t know what to say to that, how to respond in a way that didn’t immediately frighten the figure off. it wasn’t as though he would have blamed him for leaving. it didn’t make a ton of sense to listen to a stranger babble about his shitty life.
