All Welcome
the sweet aroma of berries that had been drenched by rainfall and washed into the earth surrounded the area inside of the meadow. it hadn’t really been the intent of the ghost to wander that way, but he was led by the scent absentmindedly. it wasn’t until he had stepped out of the cover he’d had near the mesa and into the stretching meadowlands that he felt the prick of wandering alone in an open area. this seemed to shift the way he pressed on. the traveler lowered his dark crown and prowled quickly in hopes that he might make it to the base of the distant mountain range in a day or two of time.

the aroma of the berries had done well to conceal any of the other fragrances in the area. the rain had all but washed away what could have been any markings by predators or hunters. illidan sought to remove himself from those lands in a short amount of time. the urgency in his steps carried him in the direction of a lumbering bear that hunted a few hundred yards ahead.

Nearly 6 days; that's how long Izumi had been astray from the hushed willow's court. And while she did plan on making her way back soon this week, the dame would need to find out where that 'way'  was first. Never in her travels had she wandered this deep into the Teekons before — she would need to find another method of returning to the mountains without tracing nonexistent footsteps.

Like a moth lured in by a tantalizing fire, the young femora was lured into this area by an overwhelmingly sweet fragrance that filled the air. It had to belong to fruit — no — berries. There were many berry bushes in this area by the looks of it. It was not the meat that she much preferred at this moment, but considering that this is the second day Izumi had gone without food, was being picky really an option? She continued.

It wasn't until the sound of rushed footsteps caught her attention that Izu would lift her cranium in high alert. The scent of another stood out in these fumes of berries and ceased rain, but who? Just up ahead was an image that confirmed her suspicions: A pair of burning sulfur orbs, peering through a head capped in shadows which contrasted the lighter colorations throughout his body. He appeared to be heading towards her — in which Izumi would stumble off to the side to make room for — but did not notice her yet. Their priorities lied more within what Fujiwara assumed was escaping something. What could've caused such a rush?

it was overwhelming, but the young ghost knew that if he passed through then he would likely not have to suffer the lack of senses and the trouble that would carry to him. he had trained his sights on the distant mountains and did not seem to sway from his path toward them. he could see where the jagged peaks tapered and fell down and he hoped that this would provide him with a safe place to cross through them to the other side. with thick clouds overhead, illidan imagined they would suffer further rainfall before he made it through the meadow.

the gunslinger’s ears turned, swiveling atop his crown and cupping to listen to the noises that sounded from ahead of him. the berry bushes were tall enough to conceal any wolves that might have followed him into the territory. the bear that was ahead of him turned and began to lumber directly toward illidan’s path. he stood with stiff limbs and a hesitant shifting of his weight, unaware of the two-toned follower who was nearby.

The dark capped boy seemed to be preoccupied with his journey, and if so, Izumi didn't plan on getting in his way. With that in mind, she dipped her head below with the intention of finding more berries and seeing herself out. Fujiwara couldn't spend too much time dilly-dallying around and needed to find shelter soon, especially with the rain clouds that darkened the sky above. However, her attention was soon to drift again at the sound of more footsteps — this time heavier and more rushed. Izumi felt a chill down her spine, an instinctual gut feeling of impending danger that was soon to come even if it was not yet visible. 'Did they hear it too?' she thought while lifting her head up to peek at the he-wolf walking ahead.

Her heart nearly dropped to her stomach when she finally saw the large, brown creature lumbering in that very same path. Izumi had never seen such a thing before and wasn't gonna stay long to find out. But the boy — he just stood there and stared. 'Why aren't running? Couldn't you see that you're about to be killed? Are you suicidal!?' So many questions storming through her head about what was going on and at this point, she as more concerned about him being mauled than running away.

"Idō shinaide kudasai!" The fact that the dark capped boy probably didn't understand her wasn't important in Izu's moment of franticness. The crane's long, slender legs made a dash over the bushes and galloped towards the male, using any bodyweight she had to try and ram into them and away from the bear's path. Who gave a shit if it hurt afterward? Her only hope was that she actually managed to push them away from the ursine's jaws.

there was a flicker of light ahead that perplexed the ghost for a moment before his attention was drawn to another wolf, one who was shouting something to him. the tone was somewhat aggressive, though it did not feel as though it was directed to the golden-eyed wanderer. though he did not understand a word of what she had said, she had been successful in at least making him stop. the glittering of his gaze latched onto her with a quizzical expression. pair of rusty-colored ears pinned to his head.

she did not seem as though she was going to try to elaborate to him. illidan canted his crown to the left, offering an apologetic waver of his tail. he did not wish to intrude on this wolf’s land if she was aiming to settle there. he didn’t know why anyone would be protective over a field of washed berries. he was just a voyager and he would not remain there-

the sound of the bear finally reached his ears. illidan’s frame tightened and he turned his sights to the east where the grizzly was stepping down the small hill ahead. it seemed to have caught sight of the haggard young man and the girl who had tried to call to him. he believed he understood what she had meant. the bear drew back its meaty head and roared and sound that traveled swiftly to where the wolves were.

BO IM SO SORRY I KEEP FORGETTING ;-;

The ursine let out a bone-chilling roar, and within that moment, Izumi actually thought she was gonna die. 'Why did I step in to get involved? WHY!? ' The girl was going to get herself torn apart helping this stranger. But in that moment of adrenaline, there was no turning back from her actions now. Everything seemed to go into slow motion during this, then her thoughts immediately went to mush as she collided into the boy with a loud SMACK. A sharp pain ripped through the side of her body and was sent tumbling clumsily in the grass.

There was a throbbing in her head and a ringing in her ears that made the she-wolf grimace painfully, but now was not the time to dwell on such trivial things --they'll both be fucking dead in the current position they were in. "We need.....run.....bear..." she tried mustering to the duo-toned male. Her eyes were wild and her broken English harder to decipher through panting, but Izu hoped he could at least get the gist of what she was trying to say. They were infront of a grizzly for crying out loud...

It's okay! I promise I never mind waiting. <3 ;o;

she was swift in her approach and the fear that was written in her features suggested that he had more than enough reason to feel the rate of his heartbeat increase. when the female confided in him that there was a bear, illidan felt all sense of reason slip from his frame. speaking it's name aloud had drawn the creature closer and he glanced up to lock the gold of his vision on the thick frame of the grizzly. it huffed and grunted as it plodded into the picture, but did not pick up its pace in an attempt to pursue.

the ghost looked to the east and motioned with a sharp nod of his muzzle.

this movement caught the eye of the bear and it lifted its round head upward with a fearsome call. illidan could not feel his legs anymore, but he knew that darting toward the distant treeline would be their best bet. he did not wish to leave the kind stranger to a fate she did not deserve; she had only been trying to help him after all.
