@Ibis. Tags for reference.

Remi had discovered a fun new game to play. One morning while @Breccan was snoozing, she crept up on him and tackled him — gently, if only because she was tiny and light — and proceeded to nuzzle and lick and smother him in her affection. He had not seemed to mind and so Remi tried it again on @Deshyr who also did not seem to mind. If nothing else they tolerated the litter's runt and her generous love.

She knew better than to try it on @Wisp though. Though she desperately wanted to give her sister the same affection and desired the same closeness with her, she was learning to restrain herself; learning to love Wisp in other more Wisp-appropriate ways. So, in the mood to hunt, tackle, and snuggle, she passed by her sister with a smile and a light nose-touch to her cheek, and continued on in search of a better target.

She soon heard someone coming. Remi ducked into the bushes, laying low, and stifling a giggle by clapping her paws across her snout.

Also tagging for reference, and set before departure.

Ever since the cat's attack Ibis had been very fragile. She hadn't realized how jumpy and nervous she had become, and likely wouldn't remember what had caused her anxiety later in life, but she was afraid to leave the den. The other children were often coming in and going out, and Ibis was coaxed out under the watchful eye of her mother or of Rannoch, but it wasn't long before she'd scamper back to the safety of the den. This placed her far from the other children most of the time, leading her towards a more solitary existence — it was lonely for the little performer.

Today was only marginally different. When she woke up from her nap she nosed at @Okeanos, only to find him missing. She rolled over, unfurled her little limbs, and found there was ample space. The other kids must have been outside. For a tiny moment (the kind that greets you when you first wake up) Ibis was sad that she was alone in the den and had forgotten all about the cat and her fear.

She got to her feet and left. Her little paws were not as little now, and she had more control over her limbs than before too. Soon enough she was pacing outside of the den in the summer sunlight. Ibis wanted to find her brother or her mom — and, being an absent-minded child, she headed along a random path without a care.

It was a task for her to contain herself as she watched Ibis pad unawares down the path toward her. Remi's cheeks puffed as she tried her hardest to trap the giggles that wanted to roll off her tongue. She pressed her paws down more firmly on her snout, and then tucked her tail under her rear paw as her ears caught the sound of the leaf little shuffling from her uncontrolled wagging. Seconds felt like minutes, and the silver pup felt that she might explode with anticipation.

Finally, Ibis was in range.

Remi launched herself from her cover with a loud and cheerful exclamation. "RAHWR!" Her forelimbs were spread open as she sailed toward Ibis, hoping to snag the unsuspecting pup in her tackle-hug.

She was sleepy, but the shape that came out of the dark bushes served to counter that lethargy. As soon as Remi was free and clear of their hiding place Ibis let out a shriek that could've rivaled the call of an eagle, it was sharp and undulating in pitch. This was parried by Remi's own exlamation. Ibis was frozen in place by her fear and there was nothing to stop the other pup from bowling her over, and as soon as she was on her back she was silent, but gasping and struggling beneath her attacker.

Oops.

She had snagged Ibis alright. Had she been capable she would have stopped herself mid air. Her sensitive nature had her picking up immediately on the other's pup's distress but it was too late. She was in motion, and in the next moment Ibis was beneath her and she was scrambling to untangle herself from the other pup's limbs.

"Oh no! No no no!" Remi cried frantically as she backpedalled fast enough to set herself back on her rump. "It's okay! Shh! It's okay. Okay?" Her heart was beating furiously, as she clutched at her own chest and quivered in place. She whined softly, unsure of what to do with her own upset or Ibis'.
