Cedar Sweep pass the wasabi

tegan was so focused on the damn bird and fire that he hadn't heard the male approach. and so he was taken by surprise. he turned, ears forward and fur bristling. "what do you want with her?" he asked, stepping in front of bat rather defensively and impulsively. it took him a few moments of glaring and processing before he realized he was kind of being an ass. 

"sorry-- dude-- uh, she's missing. we're a search party," he restarted, motioning to the bird and relaxing his posture, "X found her fur up north, we're about to turn that way." he thought that was a better start. he rolled his shoulders and glanced to bat. "this is rory, i'm tegan, ceara's nephew."
