Fuck. Fuck fuck fuck. She had circled back toward Blacktail deer Plateau and decided to head toward the mountains. That was her first mistake. Then she had found a mountain with a specific ridge that was difficult to climb, but she didn't pass up a challenge ever so she began to climb it. That was her second mistake. The weather turned bad, bitter wind and rain and snow mix pelted her and soaked her fur but she continued upward. That was the third and worst mistake yet but she wasn't a quitter.
It was the last mistake she would make on this ridge.
She placed her paw down on a patch of ice and it all went bad. She slipped and it felt like slow motion as she scrabbled for a grip. She was unsuccessful and went over the edge, a scream of fear echoing before she smashed into a rock for the first time. She yelped and rolled down the hill, becoming airborn again before head smacked into a rock and everything else was a blur. She finally landed at the bottom and lay very still, the world fading to black.
