All Welcome
Amber eyes scanned the vast mountains, this was her home. Well, not her birth home. This was her new home. After years of traveling she had found her new permanent home. The possibility of a pack chasing her out was high, Vietta could smell scent markers in the distance. But this was her home now, and nobody was going to stop her from living here.

She decided that she was going to hunt, What animals reside in the moutains? She asked herself. She caught the scent of a rabbit and decided she would track that animal down, wherever it was at.

as the nights grew colder and the days became more uniformly grey, stigmata's stores of voracious energy took on the rising properties of high tide. a large portion of his waking hours were spent scouring the jagged sunspires, and so far he had yet to succumb to the weariness of it all. his psyche had been worn terribly thin - fractured, even - during the strenuous developments over the last several weeks, but the warwolf's physical fortitude remained uncontested.

though he missed the duties of pack life, and wanted nothing more than to be needed, there was something overly simple about being alone. something he could enjoy - if he ever dared to let himself think it.

he was ruminating in his solitude, when a story below him, he noticed the progress of a dark she-wolf hunting across the stout mountain's iron hide. out of boredom he watched her for a moment, content not to bring any attention to himself unless he saw reason for it.

She continued to stalk the mountainside, she was unaware that there was another wolf nearby. She continued to search for her meal. She found the rabbit she wanted to eat down below a ridge, she began running down the steep ravine. Her amber eyes were focused on the rabbit, it smelled her scent and began running in terror. She pounced on the rabbit and snapped its neck, thankfully.

She was glad that she had caught this animal, Vietta needed something to eat. She climbed up the steep ridge, this was more of a challenge then coming down the ridge. When she reached the top, she noticed the male standing there. She dropped her catch and stared at him, her bright eyes examining him. He was large, with grey fur. She tensed up a bit, she had a hard time trusting other wolves. Hopefully, a fight wouldn't break out.

observing the scene passively - some would say in detached assessment - stigmata had the pleasure of witnessing the hunting success of a wolf very much in need of the catch. she was an astounding creature of pure coal; tall and heavy, and certainly not a she-wolf he wanted to cross if he valued all his faculties. still, it seemed a meeting was inevitable, because in her blindness and desperation to simply find a place to eat in peace, she had not known she was approaching an occupied perch until she had already come level to his position and made eye contact.

she countered her own mistake by dropping her hard-earned carcass and immediately going on the defensive. stigmata became annoyed; she came up on him. if anyone had the right to feel defensive, it was him.

"you may pass unbothered," he told her dully, not bothering to rise from his sit.

and she did just that, leaving stigmata to the night alone.
