Jade Fern Grove thread titles are hard ok

it soon becomes apparent that he hadn't needed to worry about pheiros and whether the expedition would be enjoyable to him. he startles slightly and halts when his son bolts past him in pursuit of something he can't quite see, ears pulled fully forward as he tries in vain to spot the creature. he wishes he could tell pheiros to be careful... but surely he knows. yet these new worries are extinguished as quickly as they arise. he finds himself struggling to suppress his laughter as the golden boy tumbles into the creek, following at a slower pace until he's near enough to offer a gentle reassuring nudge.
