Whitebark Stream i just keep on falling for you

looking for some pups and/or adults he hasn't met yet. :)

there was something hiding inside of the bush. alsek knew that there was something in there, but he didn't know how to get it. he listened quietly to the small sounds seeping from between leaves, curious about what was making them.

was this one of the things his father had brought to the den? alsek wondered why that one hadn't made anyone sound, whereas this creature was surprisingly loud. the blackbird settled onto his stomach and looked into the darkness, though there was nothing to be discerned from the shadows.

Much of her time was spent tending to Toshi and Kiyoshi, watching them grow and teaching them as they did so. It wouldn’t be long now, she knew, before much more of the world would become available to them—that is when the learning would really begin, as well as when her attention would be focused most on them. But, for now, she still took moments to herself away from them, often to either stretch her legs or hunt.

Today’s walk brought her through the brush, rustling the leaves as she went. The familiar scent of children and milk found its way to her and, shortly after, she spotted a small form through the flora. Pushing through slowly to expose herself, she glanced around in search of a watchful mother before settling her gaze back on the boy. “Ah, hello, little one,” she greeted, although she knew not how much he might understand. Meanwhile, her ears swiveled atop her head, searching for anything that might indicate another around—was the child out by itself?

the stranger's calm approach did not frighten alsek, as had the others. he looked up from the dark entanglement and studied her features, deciding that someone who looked his father couldn't be a real threat. after a moment's thought, alsek stood to greet her with a careful brush of his paw. 

although alsek didn't understand any of which she'd said, he did know that adults could help in difficult situations. he wanted to know what was inside of that bush; she could help him find it, right? the blackbird crouched back down and shimmied to his prior resting place, hoping that she might know what to do.
