Charon had posted guard when his younger siblings were born, and Hydra's sisters and Dirge did much the same for her, so that was the niche he had intended to fall into--assuming nerves didn't get the better of him, or he might find distraction elsewhere, but knowing that this was coming upon them so very soon, he gripped the growing need to prioritize being here, for her, and for their pups.
