Hesitantly he peeked within the den, careful of his presence- he was not sure how things might go if he entered. And the children were here, and it was important to show them that their parents got along perfectly fine- even if that was an absolute lie. The puppies grew quickly; quicker than he expected- Hotaru was growing into a fine little girl, precious, the same for Sumi, and Haruki- his only son, who he was determined would end up a dashing young lad with an ability for strength and perhaps, one day, leadership. 

As blue eyes asjusted to the darkness, he found the pretty Hotaru squeaking out something- something which sounded much like a real word. His eyes widened, gaze flickering up to Reiko momentarily with a happy surprise, in spite of their beef- and then back down to his daughter. Hotaruu~? He cooed in a high-pitched voice that was wholly unlike the manly brute, and something he would likely be ashamed of in any other setting, A song? Is that what you want to hear~?
