Scout had been left with few words. Swordfish thought that he had gone too far. He’d said too much to their visitor. A part of him worried that he’d spoiled the chance at making a friend.

S’alright. It wasn’t.

Swordfish lifted his snout a bit, hoping that he might redirect the conversation to something more purposeful. He didn’t want Scout to feel like he was a total downer. He’d been sad since the bear but those tragic events had also sparked purpose in his young body. If he could learn to fight, he could kill that bear and bring peace to the cliffs.
