Aquillius’s haunches twitched away again in anticipation of pain. The healer woman (he wasn’t about to use her name when she was about to try and rip half the hair off his haunch) gave him such a stink eye he quailed momentarily, ducking his head down low to his paws. Immediately, she went to ripping through the dried moss clinging to the wounds, his yelp rising briefly before it was all over.

His paws had crossed over his eyes at some point, Faun’s breath rolling over the wounds, before she backed off. He raised a paw to glare at her, while she stared cooly back, even twitched her tail. Amusement!

He huffed at her back when she started to leave, dipping her head to the frame filling the doorway, before she ducked out of his line of sight. His eye found his father, and he immediately stalled on what to say. Did he say anything? Could he say anything?

Are all healer women as..intense? He asked instead, wincing through a voice crack.

She has been akin to a military commander. Perhaps twice as bossy.
